EMC: RSA was hit with sophisticated attack, SecurID data lifted | ZDNet

Although the penetration of an RSA system in search of information with regard to the SecurID two-factor authentication products, what strikes me most about this report is the set of overall recommendations.

Even though the overall guidelines recommend practices that are notable in their omission, it is still a great checklist, and I am going to hold onto that.

One value to be gained from this checklist is an examination of how products and tools could assist in making the recommendations be honored effortlessly and without intruding on the ability of people to carry out their essential tasks.   This is something that deserves more serious investigation.
